Power Lines and Playgrounds
While shooting for pictures I consider the law of thirds but it wasn't my main focus. In some photos there are a few features of the law of thirds. Most of the photos don't have the law of thirds. The most captivating image would be the swirling ladder. Viewers eyes leads down the tunnel of swirls, and are guided by the swirls getting smaller. The most organic image would be the photo of the playground. There is an abundance of line and shape that displays the playground instruments. The image of the swings best satisfies captivating the potential power lines. It represents the law of thirds and depth of field of the playground.
Pattern, Texture, Rhythm
As I was shooting, I moved the images to focus on the law of thirds. It's always important to try and not include the main subject of the photo directly in the middle. I tried to get different angles to focus on the texture of the main objects. The most captivating image is the wooden door with the arrow, as it as the most detail. These images have a lot of qualities to describe the texture. From the hardness of the rocks, to the patterns of the granite and book cover, and the detail in the wood. The lighting affects the images because it can highlight the details of the subject. If I could reshoot one it would be the image of white rock. If I waited for a better time for natural lighting the details of the rock could be highlighted and focused the camera better on the rock.
